I'm a UX/UI product designer & visual creative living in San Francisco, California.

Inspired Roots, Grounded in Pragmatism.
Nice to meet you, I'm Drew, a multi-discipline designer from Berkeley with a passion for pairing aesthetics and function.
Raised in a local architect's cottage, my love for design was sparked early and led me to major in Sustainable Environmental Design at UC Berkeley accompanied by a certificate in Design Innovation.
I later completed a UX/ UI Certification Testing Program at Uxcel, sharpening my skills in functional, user-centric design.
My work spans UX/UI product, graphic, web, photo, video, sound where I seek to balance practicality with engagement.
After I clock out on the computer, I clock in with my power tools, transforming a retired school bus into an off-grid tiny home. I single-handedly did all the welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical restoration.
When I'm not designing or building, I'm likely surfing, kiteboarding, or practicing Japanese—a hobby inspired by my love for anime. My cat Luffy is always along for the ride.

Welcome, to the liminal space between professional and amateur.
As someone with many interests, I have in the past, teetered on the tightrope between gratifying exploration and the spreading of myself too thin. And yet, each meandering spark reminds me that when my curiosity and diligence collide, I snugly fit into whichever hat I fancy.
Often, i've compared the various inclinations in my mind to plants in an garden. For one plant to grow I have to prune the branches of another, letting in sunlight to foster growth in the lower canopy.
I take this rudimentary metaphor as a means of both permission and guidance. It permits me to always allow space for the possibility of new growth. It guides me through its honest admission of limits. Sunlight is time. To grow anything beyond a sprout takes focus—a diversion of resources.
